Alex DelPizzo may be leaving Capitol Hill for a lobbying firm. But the
transition should be an easy one, partly because he will still work for
clients in New Jersey. After more than three years as legislative
director for Rep. Mike Ferguson, R-N.J. DelPizzo will serve as vice
president of Winning Strategies Washington, a government relations
firm. In this position, he'll work with the same people he'd known at
Winning Strategies during his tenure in Ferguson's office. "They were
the people who we had kind of been through the wars with on Capitol Hill,
and it's always nice to go to a firm where you've worked with folks in the
past," he said. The connection, DelPizzo says, is that Winning Strategies
has many New Jersey clients, and has worked closely with the Garden State
delegation. Ferguson's office has not decided on a replacement.
