Mr. Zucker joined Winning Strategies in 2002, after working for over nine years on Capitol Hill. His work with Winning Strategies has most recently included a major national lobbying effort to raise awareness about the threat of pandemic influenza and a similar effort to advocate better screening and more access to treatments for people with HIV and Hepatitis C. His work has included direct lobbying of Congress, grassroots organization and training, outreach and coordination with third-party organizations and significant policy work geared to key decision-makers at federal agencies.
Mr. Zucker excels at developing public affairs agendas and engaging elected officials in Washington for public and private institutions of higher education, nonprofits, and private corporations.
Mr. Zucker’s policy specialties include health care, education, transportation and infrastructure, Medicare, and criminal justice policy.
Robert Zucker spent nine years working on Capitol Hill, serving as the Legislative Director for a Member of the House Appropriations Committee. His assignments included serving as the Member’s staff to the House Transportation, Treasury and General Government Appropriations Subcommittee and Staff Associate on health, education, labor, homeland security and legislative appropriations. He previously worked as a legislative assistant to the Ranking Member on the House Veterans Affairs Committee.
Mr. Zucker earned his B.A. in Political Science from Tufts University.
