Kristen focuses on guiding clients through the ever-changing landscape of seeking and securing federal funds, whether through appropriations, grants or federal contracts. As WSW’s first New Jersey based principal, Kristen enhances direct client relationships with the regional offices of federal departments and agencies responsible for implementing national programs in New Jersey.
History
A ten year veteran staffer in the Senate and House, Kristen was most recently the lead appropriations staffer for U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg where for four years she oversaw projects and appropriations work on the broadest array of funding initiatives throughout the entire State of New Jersey. Before her service on the Senator’s staff, Kristen worked for six years for a senior Member of the House Appropriations Committee.
Ms. Michaels graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Political Science.
