Federal Funding

Each year, Congress determines the budget for all operations of the federal government. In the process, Members of Congress decide whether to increase or decrease funding for specific programs, or make money available for new initiatives.

This means billions of dollars are up for grabs. Competition for these dollars is intense, and subject to the discretion of Members. The only certainty is if you don’t have a presence here and aren’t asking for money, you won’t receive any of these dollars.
